Multimedia includes a combination of many kinds of digital information such as still images, video, audio, text, conventionally. Multimedia has become the “biggest of big data” as the foundation of today’s data-driven discoveries. This special session covers the cutting-edge algorithms of multimedia signal processing, techniques of analyzing multimedia information, and examples of applying multimedia to real-applications.
