Xiaopeng Shen--Spoof Surface Plasmon Polaritons

Prof. Xiaopeng Shen

China University of Mining and Technology, Xuzhou, China

Spoof surface plasmons are highly confined electromagnetic waves near the periodically corrugated metal surface in the microwave and terahertz frequencies, which provide new approach to manipulate the electromagnetic wave in low frequency regime. The aim of this session is to provide an occasion for researchers to exchange ideas and advances in the field of spoof surface plasmon polaritons(SSPPs) and spoof localized surface plasmon resonances(SLSPRs). Potential topics include, but are not limited to:

-New theories of SSPPs and SLSPRs

-Novel physical phenomenon based on SSPPs and SLSPRs;

-Novel waveguides/devices based on SSPPs and SLSPRs ;

-Active SSPPs and SLSPRs;

-Biological and chemical sensing based on SSPPs and SLSPRs.
